Our focus is not STEM pedagogy, and yet…

QSIDE is about using quantitative approaches to promote equity, diversity, and inclusion, not about inclusive STEM pedagogy (though that could fall under the umbrella of our mission). Still, once in a while, I see a great example of inclusion in math classrooms and can’t resist sharing. Especially when it’s from my own 10 year old, who out of nowhere, whipped this out of her backpack today and said “sign my math project, Daddy.” What kind of mathematical multicultural magic is this? BTW, the 7th method is the area model at the bottom of the Cherokee squares page.
