QSIDE affiliates participated in a datathon at the National Gallery of Art (NGA). Our work looks at 110,000 objects in the NGA’s collection and maps them spatiotemporally in the museum, enabling one to assess museum visitors’ experience of gender representation and racial/ethnic representation, in terms of whose works are on the wall. Brianna Heggeseth created an interactive tool that lets you explore the data on your own.
