Identifying Racially Discriminatory Federal Judges
Which federal judges are discriminating most severely against Black and Hispanic defendants? Previously available data made it impossible to answer this question because data obscured judges identities. We answer this question using a new, QSIDE-generated dataset and statistical methods that adjust for differences in the defendants that different judges give sentences to.
